No F8 on reboot, or my F12 shortcut in Office, what am I to do? This might be troubling for some users out there but Dell doesn’t think so, at least not enough to include function keys with their expected release of a MiniNotebook sometime late this coming summer. Little is known about the machine except that its a 9″ Windows XP loaded ultraportable laptop running an Intel Atom processor that will be Dells most portable PC to date.
APCMag.com was able to get their hands on one for a brief time and thus the surprising info that they have decided to trade off the Fn keys for additional space, allowing slightly larger Alpha keys in their place.
With this still more than two months away it may work out in Dells favor as every one else is currently slugging it out at Computex and alike, with a new introduction for their Ultramobile devices coming left and right. Dell just might have the spotlight virtually all to themselves when this finally comes to fruition.
We're here to inform and supply you with interesting and informative information regarding all things Ultra Mobile.
